An OpenCode Go subscription gets you Grok, Kimi, DeepSeek, GLM, Qwen and more — but no way to actually talk to them outside a terminal. GO Chat UI is that missing interface: a proper chat window, one click from whatever tab you are already in. Answers stream in as they are written, conversations stay on your own machine, and every model on your plan appears in the picker automatically. There is no account to create and nothing to buy from us — you bring your own API key.
Features
- A real window, not a cramped popup Drag it, resize it from any of eight edges, or shrink it to a chip while you work. It reopens exactly where you left it.
- Streaming replies Answers arrive as they are written, so you are reading by the time others are still watching a spinner.
- Every model on your plan The list is pulled live from your subscription, so when OpenCode adds a model it is simply there. Nothing is hardcoded.
- Local chat history Your last 50 conversations stay in your browser, each with the tokens it used, ready to pick straight back up.
- Markdown and code Replies render with headings, lists, tables, links, and syntax-styled code blocks rather than a wall of plain text.
- Nothing collected There is no account to make and no server of ours to trust. Your key and your conversations live in your browser’s own storage — we never see either.
- Open source Released under the Apache 2.0 licence, so you can read the code and verify every claim on this page yourself.
How to Use
- Install the extension from the Chrome Web Store and pin it to your toolbar.
- Get an API key from opencode.ai/go if you do not already have an OpenCode Go subscription.
- Click the toolbar icon on any page. The chat window opens on top of whatever you are reading.
- Paste your API key into the setup screen. It is checked against the models endpoint and then saved locally in your browser.
- Pick a model from the dropdown. The list comes straight from your plan, and there is a search box when it gets long.
- Move it out of your way. Drag the header to reposition, pull any edge to resize, or minimize to a floating chip and click it again when you need it.
- Switch between chats using the sidebar. Conversations are saved as you go, along with the tokens each one used.
Note: Chrome does not allow extensions to run on certain pages —
chrome:// settings pages, the Chrome Web Store, and the built-in PDF viewer. On those pages GO Chat UI opens in a separate window instead, so the chat still works.
