ShowcaseFeed — Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 19, 2026
ShowcaseFeed is a WordPress plugin published by BamBam LLC ("we", "us", or "our"). It displays a seller's public eBay listings on their own WordPress site. This policy explains what data moves where.
In short: the plugin collects nothing about the visitors to your website. Your web server asks our API for a named seller's public listings; the visitor's browser never contacts us at all.
1. Who this policy is for
Two groups of people are involved, and they are affected very differently:
- Site owners — WordPress administrators who install the plugin. Some information about your server reaches our API.
- Site visitors — people who view a page containing your listings. No information about them reaches us, because their browsers never make a request to our service.
2. What your server sends us
When the plugin needs fresh listings, your web server makes a request to the ShowcaseFeed API at showcasefeed-b9ugh.b-cdn.net. That request contains:
- The eBay seller username you configured
- The eBay marketplace you selected (for example EBAY_GB)
- Your site's URL, sent in the request's user-agent header
- Your server's IP address, as with any HTTP request
This happens at most a few times an hour per seller, because results are cached. It does not happen on every page view, and it never happens in a visitor's browser.
3. What we send back
Your seller's public eBay listings — titles, prices, images, conditions, categories, and listing URLs. This is the same information anyone can see on your public eBay page.
4. What we do not collect
- Nothing about your site's visitors — no IP addresses, no analytics, no fingerprinting, no cookies
- No eBay account credentials. The plugin never asks for them and cannot use them
- No buyer, order, or transaction data. The plugin only reads public listings
- No content from your WordPress site other than the settings described above
5. Caching and logs
The API is served through Bunny.net's CDN. Two things are retained:
- Cached listing data — public listing information, held for up to 15 minutes as fresh and up to 24 hours as a fallback if eBay is unavailable. This contains no personal data.
- Standard access logs — generated by the CDN for reliability and abuse prevention. IP anonymisation is enabled on these logs, and they are not retained by us in long-term storage. Because the requests come from your web server, these logs concern your server, not your visitors.
The API sets no cookies and issues none to anyone.
6. Data stored on your own site
The plugin stores the following in your own WordPress database, under your control and never transmitted to us:
- Your default seller username and marketplace, as WordPress options
- Cached listing data, as WordPress transients
Deleting the plugin removes all of it.
7. eBay
Listing data originates from eBay's official Browse API. Your site does not contact eBay directly — our API does, on your behalf — but the data and its use are subject to eBay's terms:
8. Affiliate links
Links from your listings to eBay may carry eBay Partner Network tracking parameters. This is how the plugin is funded, and where it applies a disclosure is displayed alongside your listings.
These parameters are read by eBay after a visitor clicks through — no tracking happens on your site, and we receive no information about who clicked. What eBay does after the click is governed by the eBay Partner Network terms and eBay's own privacy notice.
9. Children's privacy
ShowcaseFeed is a tool for website owners and is not directed to children. It collects no personal information from anyone.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
