ShowcaseFeed — Terms of Service
Last updated: July 19, 2026
These terms govern your use of the ShowcaseFeed WordPress plugin and the ShowcaseFeed API (together, "the Service"), provided by BamBam LLC ("we", "us", or "our"). By installing the plugin or calling the API, you agree to them.
1. What the Service is
ShowcaseFeed retrieves a named seller's public eBay listings and renders them on that seller's WordPress site. The plugin is free and open source. The hosted API that supplies the listing data is provided free of charge and without any subscription.
2. Your responsibilities
- You may display listings you have the right to display — in practice, your own, or those of a seller who has authorised you.
- You must comply with eBay's own terms, including the eBay User Agreement. Nothing here overrides them.
- You must not use the Service to scrape at scale, to build a competing dataset, to circumvent eBay's API limits, or in any way that would breach eBay's developer policies.
- You must not attempt to disrupt the Service, probe it for vulnerabilities without permission, or use it to attack third parties.
3. Fair use
The Service caches aggressively so that normal use costs very little. We may rate-limit, cache more aggressively, or block requests that place a disproportionate load on the Service or on eBay's API. Where practical we will contact you before blocking anything.
4. Availability and changes
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uptime, and we may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of it at any time. The plugin is designed to degrade gracefully: cached listings continue to display when the API is unreachable, and a plain link to the seller's eBay page is shown as a last resort.
If we discontinue the hosted API, we will give reasonable notice on this site where circumstances allow.
5. Affiliate links
Outbound links to eBay carry eBay Partner Network tracking parameters, and we may earn a commission on resulting purchases. This is what funds the Service, and it is not configurable: installing the plugin means accepting it. A clear affiliate disclosure is displayed at the top of every listing widget, as the eBay Partner Network and advertising regulators require. See the Affiliate Disclosure for detail.
6. The plugin's licence
The ShowcaseFeed plugin is licensed under the GNU General Public License, version 2 or later. You may use, modify and redistribute it on those terms. These Terms of Service govern the hosted API, not your rights under the GPL.
7. Intellectual property
Listing content — titles, descriptions, photographs, prices — belongs to the seller and to eBay, not to us. We claim no rights over it. The ShowcaseFeed name and logo remain ours.
8. No warranty
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that listing data will be accurate, complete, or current — it is cached, and eBay is the authoritative source.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, BamBam LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising out of your use of or inability to use the Service — including lost sales resulting from listings failing to display.
10. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify BamBam LLC against claims arising from your use of the Service in breach of these terms or of eBay's terms.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continuing to use the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of it.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which BamBam LLC is registered, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions.
